Dumbest thing I ever did:
I was out practicing shooting just before heading out for an afternoon hunt. I got a phone call so I put my bow down and answered it. Some business related matter that ended up being longer than I wanted to because I was heading out to the woods. Finally got the guy off the phone and I grabbed my bow in a hurry, grabbed my gear, jumped in my truck and headed to the woods.
I already decided where I was going to hunt with the wind I had. Ends up being a VERY long hilly walk to this particular stand. I finally make it out there climb up the tree and settle in. Now I'm all situated I reach over to get an arrow to nock..........

[:-][:-][:-][:-][:-]I left my quiver with arrows sitting on the ground where I was practicing earlier (I shoot with the quiver off).[:@][:@]
I figured there's no way I'm walking all the way back to my truck, going to camp, getting my arrows and making it back to the woods in time. So I just kicked back and enjoyed the scenery untill dark. I was praying a 140" buck wouldn't come by 10 yards broadside that night. Ended up having a couple young does in bowrange and that was about it.
