That is because you have avery limited perspective and definition of what the actual heritage is. I'm not even sure your definition of the word heritage is thorough, based on what you have written. I am not saying that with any sarcasm or being denigrating, just being honest.
Not what I am asking

or said.
To a person who does not hunt what does the "Hertiage" of hunting mean. When you tell a person who does not hunt I respect the "Hertiage of hunting".
Does the said person undestand what you are talking about? I am not confusing the two, just you
I don't know why I would discuss heritage with a nonhunter, and I doubt that he would be concerned or have an opinion or a concept on which to base it. Most nonhunters seem to be concerned with one issue--do you hunt and eat the meat? If you were to say to him, no,all I care about is the horns, you've lost him. Their emphasis , in my experience, has always been about being sure there is just reason for taking an animals life. That implies that his concept of hunting's 'heritage', although I'm sure he wouldn't use that term, would be centered around meat--a food source, as hunting originally was all about. I am not insinuating that trophy hunters, at least most, do not realize this or have no regard for the meat, and I will repeat--I amnot against trophy hunting or hunters, but simply allowing it to go too far.
So lets ask this.
When someone says trophy hunting is ruining the hertiage of hunting. Is that not wrong? Being trophy hunting is a part of the hertiage of hunting?
What percentage of our heritage? It obviously wasn't as big a part 25 years ago as it is now. Again, what is the big picture and what role does trophy hunting play in it as far as what is acceptible and proper as opposed to taking it too far? Does trophy hunting in its acceptable form, which I would venture to say is most, 'ruining' hunting? IMO, No. But without trying to be redundant, the potential for it to get out of hand is prevelant enough to be concerned about that particular segment having a damaging effect. The signs and symptomsare everywhere.
