I did not and do not point a finger at 'trophy hunters or trophy hunting' , just taking it too far. I have repeatedly stated that it in and of itself is not problematic, but rather that the some that do go too far are not thinking long term nor do they seem to care about the long term, All that seems to matter is bigger and better, regardless of how it is achieved and the effects that it has on the big picture. These are the ones who have lost sight of huntings heritage and are, in effect, redefining it. Comprende?
I watched golf go through the "tiger" boom and saw the sport basically price itself right out of most American's (and a LOT of the world's) lives. I think I'm seeing (Deer/Elk/Pronghorn and to an extent, turkey) hunting go through the same thing. I hope I'm wrong.
