I'm interested to hear a little more about broadhead weight. I assumed that weight forward balance works just as well for crossbow bolts as it does arrows at making for more stable flight.
I know I'm a bit on my own when it comes to rigging up broadheads for my midieval crossbow and have some serious experimenting to do, but maybe you guys could help me focus in on a starting point. My original intent was to start out with a 145 gn glue on for my wood shafts, which would be just a tad more than a 125 gn head + insert for a screw-in type. Are you talking about mfrs recommending 100 gn heads on only carbon, or does that apply to heavier aluminum as well?
