My dad had his first mount done this year and the guy gave him a finshing date of the first week of May. He called the guy when the time came close and just asked how he was doing and he said his deer would proabaly be ready in 3 days. I dont think the Taxidermist minds when people call, as long as they aren't rude. Just be polite and everything should be fine.
