The process certainly does NOT take longer than three months.
The major time consumer in the process is the tanning of the hide. Some places have a faster turnaround time than others. Many taxidermists now do their own tanning.

What season you harvest your animal in plays a big part in how fast you get your trophy back.
Shoot one in first archery season when the man has nothing inline waiting, and the work begins.
Shoot one in the last few days of gun season, take a number.


Again you state that getting an animal mounted takes longer than the time I have gotten mine done.....so I have another question for you, dep214.

It is not if I got one that quick, I have already stated that I have gotten several that quick! You want to look at `em, see when and where they were done, what?
