Default RE: yearly spendings

I spend way more on gas than I spend on gear. I figure 200-300 miles of hunting-related driving per week, average. Year round.

That works out to about 12,000 miles a year. At 30 MPG, that's... $1200 just in gas. (not to mention the added cost of having to OWN a car, instead of lease one - due to the mileage).

I wear out a pair of boots every season - so that's $100
I ruin a full set of camo every season - so there's another $100-150, if I buy cheap stuff
License fees (in state) - $50
NR tags (if I can spare the cash) - $150
I usually end up picking up a new stand or stick or steps every year, just to replace old stuff - $100
Random purchases (last year, bought a full set of arboristclimbing safety gear and a $100 set of turkey dekes) - $350
Bought a new bow this year (firstnew onesince 1999)- $700

So there you have it... almost $3000 in gear/expenses, just hunting from home and replacing old/broken/outdated/worn out gear- and bargain shopping on everything.
