Try what you want - thats the best way to find out what works best for you.

In my area - Upstate NY - The deer could have cared less about my Brassica plots ( 3 plots in 4 years) until December/January. I was glad about the fact that they did get on the plots eventually- but not thrilled that it was more often out of season.
