Default RE: Want to start food plot help

I own and operate a lawn spraying business in Oklahoma and if you hire it done, it should not cost more than 150-175 if it is wooded and $75-100 if there are few trees and limited brush. If you have a sprayer of some type, go toa feed store, tractor supply, atwoods, etc. and get a 2 1/2 gal jug of 41% glyphosate. It may be called honcho, bucceneer, kills-all, and others. It shouldn't be more than $45-50. According to OSU Extension Manual, 1-2 quarts/acre for grass and weeds, which is what I use. For uncut brush, they recommend up to 1.5 gallons/acre with at least 100 gallons of water as a carrier.

If you are doing this yourself,I would add a squirt of dishwashing soap into sprayer. It works as a surfactant and also leaves a shiny residue on the leaves so you can see where you have been.
