Leave it out all year...not a good idea.

Cover your seat or if possible, take it with you. Squirrels are bad and it is no fun sitting all day long on a wet seat.

Prior to getting into your stand, pull down on it as hard as you can to make sure it can still hold your load. Sometimes these stands shift and/or have been damaged by something unforeseen.
