That deer is most definatly older than 2.5 years old! Whitetail look much different in the fall and look thin in the summer. But you can still notice the sagging belly of a mature deer (even with the summer coat). 3.5+ year old or older.. and more than likely a 4.5+ year old.
If that was a 2.5 (no way) it would be showing AMAZING genetics.
Agreed! That deer is in Arkansas in the summer. It's at least a 4.5 year old, probably older. I'm not the best at judging years, but I know Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma deer better thanI know the rest. Unless you are just trying to take 6 year old or older I'd shoot that buck. Good luck!
