This is almost my exact setup on my scope as well. CR Scope, 3x zeiss (real one) classic lens, CR sun shade, .019 razor up pin, LP light. I love the blue color on the target, but just don't trust that the battery won't die on me when on the course and that blue is really tough to see with no light, so I went with green.

The best thing about the light which you already mentioned is the timer setup, gives you extra reinforcement to let down on those shots that you are out of your optimum shot window on.

Edit - How did you do at your ASA state shoot? The only state shoot I am able to attend this year is coming up in 2x weeks and I am really looking forward to it.
