A little word of caution, perhaps un-needed. There is going to be a big difference in the way a pointer from field trail lines compared labs, like Miller lines hunt. Overall, I say that english pointers are the most birdy dogsaround with the most natural pointing instinct but FT'ers like them bold and independant. If you get such a dog, it's going to take you acouple ofyears for the dog to learn tothe 'ideal' range to huntfor the cover type.
