the butcher I use puts a price on the meat when he packages it, along with a weight
I don't know why he does it because the packages all say "wild game, not for sale"
didn't kill anything this year, so not really sure what dollar amount he uses
Your best bet is price it as beef because they are not going to pay you for your time & hunting expenses
probaly shouldn't even tell them it was deer...just tell them it was beef
