RE: Is this gonna be an alright set up?
This was actually a question discussed at work recently. The corporation has decided to make a proficiency test to be given to people applying for an archery tech position.
One of the questions was multiple choice and went something like this;
A customer comes in with a 70lb. bow with a 29-inch draw length and wants to get arrows. Out of the following list, which would you reccommend;
A) Gold Tip 55/75 Vanes
B) Gold Tip 55/75 Feathers
C) Gold Tip 75/95 Vanes
D) Gold Tip 75/95 Feathers
Now, mind you the person taking the test won't be allowed to see a spine chart, so you would have to answer completely from memory.
Depending on the cam style of your bow, you may be perfectly fine shooting a 55/75 arrow [I.E. single cam vs. Binary/Hybrid cam]. However, if you're shooting a more aggressive style cam, you'll definitely be shooting an arrow that is too weak.
The discussion was brought about because there is more than one answer to the question, as demonstrated above.
