If you can stomach the thought of a Browning scope (I can since the price is right) take a look at this http://www.natchezss.com/category.cfm?contentID=productDetail&brand=BH& amp;category=405&subCategory=405&catLevel= 1&prodID=BH883940M.
Browning scopes were basically Bushnell 3200's, some say they had 4200 glass as they havebetter light transmission values than the 3200's, but that is debatable. What is for sure is a Bushnell Elite 3200 at 150bucks is a helluva deal.
I own one of these in 3-9x 40, & I'm very happy with it.

These days, $150 to $200 will get you:
* Nikon Monarchs (original series)
*Sightron SII (original series)
* Browning
* Weaver Grand Slam

Given the quality you're getting for this price, it really doesn't make much sense to go with anything less ona rifle you plan to hunt with. These scopes used to go for every bit of $400, and to find significantly better glass, that's probably what you'll have to spend, if not even more. It's a good time to be a scope buyer!

If this is for a plinker, then maybe I'd consider getting a cheaper scope, but you'll likely be getting far less glass for your money.
My $.02.
