Not that there is anything wrong w/ aluminum, but there are heavy carbons out there. A beman Black Max 400 weighs in at just over 11 gpi, which in finished arrow weight would be in the 390's -low 400's.......

To be honest, I'm not sure what aluminum to use that would work.....You don't need a really stiff arrow, in fact the 400's are probably a bit overkill......Maybe a 2213 would be in there......I'll have to check out the weight on those......
