Ditto. I've only been hunting for a few years now but I've learned the importance of this. I don't care how dark it is. I usually try and get to stand a minimum of half hour before legal shooting but more often than not an hour to let things settle down. But anyway, I try to pick a low lying route that will help me go in visually undetected and make sure that its a quite route too. Even if that means bringing a rake to move leaves away. Some guys even go into their areas at noon with a gas leaf blower and clear out their path so they can be stealthy in the morning and evening hours.
