Default RE: shooting help

ORIGINAL: txmarshmonkey

I shoot until I start shaking and have trouble holding steady. Somtimes it's 25 shots and sometimes it's closer to 100. Lately I've been shooting in the mornings when I get home from work, after 25-30 shots I'm done and ready for bed.

As for wild arrows, just keep practicing. Depending on your setup, you might need to check the knock rotation of the arrows. If that's good, then number your arrows. If it's always the same arrows, inspect and compare them to the others, then correct the problem or stop shooting the bad ones. Also, try replacing the knocks on the bad ones. Sometimes it helps.
Mine is almost identical to this one. I work nights, so I shoot a little when i get home. I usually quit after about 30-50 shots b/c by 9:00am it is just too hot.

One thing that may be causing you to throw arrows off is fataque (sp).

Generally, what I like doing is shooting the first shot....to me, this first shot is pretty much all you are going to get.....not saying that all the others aren't important....its just my opinion.....

if i can take my bow out of the case and on a consistant basis (daily basis) and hit right where I am aiming at 40yds...then i am pretty confident that i can kill a deer.
