Default RE: is it time for a new string?

ORIGINAL: gibblet

all i can say is if you're having to get your strings and cables re-served twice a year - then you're getting work done by someone who either doesn't know what they're doing, or doesn't have the proper tools to do it - or both.
I have then reserved twice a year to extend the life of the string/cable.

I take extreme care of my strings/cables. SORRY GIBBLET [:'(]

I will agree with the fact that strings aren't made by the same processes as they used to be. My PSE was a 1994 bow and the strings were definitely different even then. (maybe that's why it lasted so long?)
