Since I don't shoot 3D I don't know what would make a good 3D release. I only use the back tension to keep from getting sloppy form during the off season. A few weeks before the season I switch to the T-handle and I am as accurate as the back tension.

Buy one and try it. You can always sell it if you don't like it.
