Default RE: Bowhunting not allowed in UK

Hmmm...where to start. First I would try and get a bow imported first. I don't know the laws for importing into the UK but I would think the company with the most experience shipping over seas would be Cabela's. You can order a bow online or call customer service and ask them any questions you may have. They are a little more expensive than a local pro shop but based on your situation that's probably the route I'd take. I would also recommend getting a package deal that includes the site, rest, arrows and quiver since there's nobody local to set it up for you. I would also try and find a local archery club and ask some of the members for help since they have probably gone through the same thing. As far as hunting whitetail you could try and purchase an over the counter tag and hunt public land while staying at a local motel but if I were you I would make the flight worth it and go with an outfitter on a guided hunt. You have a much better chance of success and the deer you'll be hunting will generaly be much bigger than the ones you'll find on public land. A few good areas to search online for would be pike county illinois, buffalo county wisconsin and kansas. If you want to speak with an archery shop or check one out online one of my local ones is lancaster archery supply. They have anything you'll need for archery as well as knowledgable staff to ask questions. Their url is www.lancasterarcherysupply.com Good luck.
