Default Question

I'm not sure if this was the correct place to post this so if it isn't I apologize. I brought twelve tomato plants home from work and I got to thinking about possibly planting some in the woods behind my house. My mom wants a couple but I was going to plant the rest back there. I've seen deer, rabbits, coons, and possums back there so I figured I'd plant them out there to help the critters out some. Possibly take a few that aren't gobbled up. I was just concerned about the whole plant being eaten before it really starts to grow. Is this a good or idea or just a plain dumb one? Thanks and good huntin'
