Your 7-08 would work just fine, but, since you've got a .243 and a 7-08, I would get a .338 Federal to kinda round out the family.
Agreed, most of us average hunters don't have a .338 Federal, so you 'ought to test it out for us and tell us what you think, we need a labrat.
