RE: X-Force and Iron Mace shooters....
Quick: Those Gold Tips should be about 8.6 gpi. I'll let someone else do the math.
My Iron Mace is set at 64 #. My hunting arrow is an Easton FMJ 400, finished weight is 454gr. Speed is 282 fps.
Pin wise, I use a VBG Triangle. I have my top pin set dead on at 25. Its about an inch high at 20 and two at 15 (I tend to shoot low...southern deer duck). My next pin is just below my top, not enough to really see between them, and its dead on at 35. Bottom pin I left in the factory setting, and with these heavier arrows, I'm still not exactly sure where that pin is set at now...probably around 50 or 55 yards.
I was shooting 330gr arrows out of it for 3D, my pins were factory set...and I dialed the top one in at 20, and the middle was dead on at around 42/43 and the bottom dead on at 60/61 (I'm not good enough to tell the difference at that range).
I'm not going to get into the X-Force debate again. But I have shot them (they are shockingly quiet, more so than the IM). The draw curve is heavier, hand shock is about the same. I'll leave it at that.
