RE: X-Force and Iron Mace shooters....
At 29", 70#, I think my bow is shooting a 350 grain IBO arrow at about 315-317 fps. Will confirm those numbers for sure tomorrow night. 2007HCA Iron Mace.
Still not sure what arrow I will be hunting with. I have several options here - getting 369 fpswith a 245 grain speed pro arrow(55 grain head).
338 fps with the same speed pro and a 100 grain head (290 gr total).
I've got some Lincoln Log Goldtip XT's with 100 grain heads that were my hunting arrows before. They're probably in the 290-300 range. On the slow side, but indestructible hunting arrows.
As for one-pin, I went with a pendulum (lockable w/slider), and it takes out all the guesswork. Windage is dead on out to 30, probably more with the Gold Tips. Haven't tried the speed pros from elevated platform or 20+ yardsyet, so the jury is still out.
I'll PM you more concrete data when I get it, but my suspicion is that if you put the same arrow in the I.M. and the XF, set at the same draw weight and length - you'll get a little more speed out of the XForce. Mace speeds will be on par with the Allegiance. I think the XF will be a shade faster, but you're sacrificing brace height. It's all in what you like.
If you're interested in going below the 5gpp threshold, then the Mace is your only option.
Check out my review of the Mace if you haven't yet. I think my pictures will tell you more about the fit & finish of the bow than the pictures on their website.
