If a tang safety Ruger, I would prefer the Ruger...The trigger can be easily adjusted in that model and the Ruger integral bases are what I believe to be the best system, you can check every screw that holds the scope to the rifle....

If a 3-position Ruger M-77, I would buy the Remington...In my opinion, Ruger had the safety right the first time...And the trigger isn't as easily adjusted, but the Remington is....

Which is more accurate??? I have been able to get both to shoot well, although I believe the average Remington out of the box will out shoot
the average Ruger....My brother owns both a tang safety Ruger M-77 and a 700...I sight both in for him and do the upkeep...He only shoots Federal Premium 130 grain Sierras, I can't tell any difference in accuracy with these 2 guns, both run about 1 1/4 inch groups with this load...
