RE: Bowhunting TV Shows - likes/dislikes?
Others have touched on everything I want to see, so I will just tell you what I am so tired of seeing.
I am sick of bowhunters taking terrible shots at game and then saying that it is ok because it happens in bowhunting and excusing their poor choices. A couple of examples: Eastman's. Cameran shot at a mulie buck at over 50 yards in a wind that was well over 20 mph. He was lucky enough to spine the thing and then he went into how he first thought it was too windy, but I guess the idea of this big buck made it ok to take an ill advised shot. Another was on The Choice when some guy from Miami shot at a walking mule deer at 54 yards, gut shoots it, brags about the "good hit" and is just plain lucky enough to find the thing. There are a million more examples. The problem is that these guys who hunt and shoot all the time motivate people who spend just enough time shooting to sight in their bows and then not shoot again all season to think it is ok to just lob arrows at animals. It is dispicable. I know that they need footage of kills to get paid, but I like shows that show how hard the sport is and aren't afraid to say that they didn't get anything.
That is why I like Easton Bowhunting with Fred E. Sorry for the rant, but it is really getting bad as far as I am concerned.
