RE: How do you shoot a deer directly under you?
you don't,this is probably the worst shot that you could possibly take on an animal.1)they are so close that the slightest sound will result in the deer bolting.2)When the arrow is released,there will be some noise(even from the quietest bow)and the deer will duck and there is no telling where the arrow will hit.3)at that angle the vitals become quite small,making it next to impossible to get a double lung shot and it is even possible to completely miss the lungs all together.4)the deer came in and has to leave,there will almost always be a better shot within a few minutes.The deer will then be looking away and will most likely quarter away at some point,presenting the perfect shot.
This is the 1 shot I can't understand why you would take.It can be made but the odds are stacked against it.I would much rather have a 30,or even 40 yard shot as opposed to this one.
