04 BT Liberty Cable/String
I just replaced the string and cable on my right handed 04 BT Liberty with a new set from Bucknasty. Factory specs are 33 1/4 ATA and 7 1/2 BH. New set up measures just under 7 7/16 BH (from deepest valley of grip to inside edge of string), and ATA measures 33 5/16 from right side of idler to bottom cam, and left side measures just under 33 1/4 from idler to bottom cam. ATA was measured from the bottom of the idler axle to bottom of cam axle. How do I get this into spec? I believe I will have to twist entir split cable to increase BH slightly, and then twist or untwist individual yoke cables at the idler to straighten out ATA. Is this correct? And if so, approx. how many twists/untwists do I need to accomplish correcting variation in ATA on each side of idler to cam? Also, when I twist/untwist individual yoke cables, do i twist/untwist just the individual yoke (each side), as they do not have any "twist" in them. I can tell when drawing the bow that there is some cam lean to the left. Also, I installed a new Sims cable slide and the cable/string cross ABOVE the cable slide not below as the BT manual shows. The cable/string do not touch each other, I cannot figure out how to get them to cross below (forgot to take pictures of that configuration BEFORE I starting changing the cable/string, I took pictures of everything else). Sorry for the long post, but this is my first attempt at changing the cable/string on my own. By the way, Bucknasty does some beautiful work!! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
