Default RE: Fixed Blade Reviews

ORIGINAL: LebeauHunter

Based on a recent review, apparently the Crimson Talons have now been beefed up and are now a legit BH (lots of reports of fragile before).
Yes, the back of the blade is now inside the ferrule. in the old design only about the first 2/3's of the blade was inside the ferrule. Aslo the new blade has a bleeder connected to it and comes out inbetween the main blades. I saw the new design when I was attending Len's seminar. Mike Homan, Spintites Natl Tech Rep,was attending and I talked to him at length about these broadheads. He brought some to the seminar and I got to see them and take them apart. I was very impressed with the way they are put together. I should be receiving mine in the mail in the next few days and I'll get to shoot them and see how they do. I like the whole concept of the broadhead not losing the spinning energy once it enters the animal.

The new, beefed up version is called crimson talon XT's. Make sure that is the model ordered or they may send you the older version.
