Default RE: First attempt at food plot!

The area it is located is right behind my parents house. They used to have horses and the last one died this winter. That plot is in the middle of about 6-8 acre strip of woods. Houses behind and houses below woodlot. Very small area, but let me tell you the amount of deer that travel that little ridge in those woods, it is ridiculous. From the street it doesn't look like much, but it is one of those little hidey holes whitetails love. During the rut it is incredible back there. My buddy shot a 140 class 4 years ago back there, and my trail cams tell me there are lots of very nice bucks that cruise that ridge. I figure cover, now more food hopefully will attract the does which in turn will bring the big boys out to play. Time will tell.
