Default RE: Trying again

First of all I'd say your first mistake was giving it up after 1 missed shot. Now you have to start all over again. Practice until you feel confident, if your not confident before heading into the woods, then your NOT ready, and could lead to missed deer or worse yet, injured ones. That only lowers your confidence even more. Its mind over matter in the archery woods. You have to be confident. I'd practice at home like before until can hit that target in the bull consistantly from 0-30. Then try dropping back even farther to 40 & 50. This will force you to be even more steady, and precise in your shooting. Plus it makes 30 seem like a chip shot (confidence builder). Then I'd try hitting some 3d courses, its a whole different ball game. Plus its addicting, and really helps you in judging distances, and different types shots, angles. Once you feel happy about your scores (more confidence). You should be ready for the deer woods this fall. Good Luck & enjoy!
