In the Bass Pro and Cabelas Archery catalogues....these bow presses are sold and the description advertises that these can safely handle parallel limb bows.
Anybody have any experience with these presses? Are they indeed safe for the parallel limbs? Specifically a Mathews and Bowtech? Don't want to press my bow in an inappropriate bow press.
thanks
No way. The Apples presses are great for some of the early parrallel limbs...and any of your older longer bows. But, as limbs get shorter....and risers get longer...forget it.
Most of those pictures of blown up Drenalins you see....are from improper pressing....no way I'd put a Dren in an Apple...
I would go with either an X-Press....or my personal suggestion..a press from Last Chance Archery. Expensive...but not much more than the high ticket apple...and those LCA presses will press ANYTHING...with just one finger (except an Oneida...but all you need is two pegs on the wall for them).
