just buy frozen head on shrimp...... they stay on the hook much better. Hook'em from the tail and sort of thread them on the hook. I like 4/0 hooks octopus style, if you start to feel they aren't staying on well, tear small pieces of rubber and put on the tip of hook so it doesn't slide off
