Trophy Taker Pronghorn Troubles
Hello,
I have posted here a few times but have lurked many times before. I'm having some problems so I thought that I would inquire here. I switched to a Trophy Taker Pronghorn Short bararrow rest about two months ago. I had it installed when I bought it,from the same store that I bought my bow from. I have been shooting like crap since I got it and was starting to loose hope. I starting trying to figure out why. Well it turns out after applying some magic marker to the knot on the trophy takers swivel arm my right side fletching is touching that knot on every shot. Some times more some times less. I experimented with diefferentfletching positions and I'm still not gettingclearance.I had noticed wear on this knot before but I thought that it was from when I drew back the bow. The arrow seemed to lightly rub against this area upon draw. I thought that this seemed a little strange as well. I'm about ready to huck this thing out the window and go back to my whisker biscuit, but that chewed up my fletching really bad. Has any one else had these problems with this rest or any insight how to get complete arrow and fletching clearance with this rest. I'm taking the bow back into the shop tommorow, but at this point I don't have high hopes. Every time take my bow in there I end up going back because they never seem to get it set up right the first time. Unfortunately they are the best shop in town. My frustration level is high.
Thanks
Fred
