The first buck was filmed in Des Moines, Iowa about 4 blocks from where I live by a DMPD officer several years back. Huge buck, smart enough to live where there was no hunting and avoid cars.

The DMPD and the DNR decided to try to video tape him so they had evidence if he was ever poached.

About 2 miles south of where this was filmed, at about 5:30 at night, I had 3 8pts or better run across the road right in front of me on a busy 4 lane road!
There is finally bow only management permits for the park that connects these two areas, as of 2 years ago, this park had more deer per sq mile than any other part of Iowa!

What a beauty though!
