RE: Deer Drives vs Treestands
I think it greatly depends on what part of the phase your in during your gun season....For example, our season here in ohio is only a week long, I like to sit in a stand for at least the first 3 days, and when the activity slows down, or the deer are spooked, then do your drives to push out those wary bucks...If you do your drives first, your going to run through an area, leaving your scent and definitely pushing all the deer out of the woods, by the time the deer make their way back into that area, they will be spooked and educated...and it will take them a while to adjust back to their habits again...If you have a really long gun season, you have more room to work with, and you can go into an area multiple times
