Me fooling around
Hunsucker those are guns
I think you can tell by the picture that as an NFL O-Lineman you need to have very strong neck and shoulders. When I was playing I could behind the neck press (sitting) 350lbs with no problem. I would work out with 315lb all day long (that's three plates on each side of an olympic weight set for those of you "in the know")
My bench warm-ups would go as follows: one plate on each side (135lbs) 20 reps, two plates on each side (225lbs) 20 reps, three plates on each side (315lbs) 10 reps, four plates on each side (405lbs) 10 reps. That was done just to warm up the muscles, then I'd
start my work out.
Of course, that's when I was 22 and not 42. Now I just keep the weights at a reasonable level to stay in shape. I'll still do my warm up routine but I've dropped the reps and don't gosuper heavy after that anymore....got nothing to prove.
Just in case anyone was wondering this was all done 100% natural, I didn't even take over the counter supplements or anything. I'm proud of what I accomplished and believe me it took YEARS of hard work, sacrifice, blood, sweat and tears. Looking back on it I can't believe I even did it, I know I couldn't now.
I was blessed with a good solid base to work with, I've never had trouble putting on weight (just the opposite

) Even during two-a-day practices when others would drop 20 and sometimes 40lbs I'd lose like 5lbs...just the way I was I suppose.
Now I'm just trying to keep the bulges where there supposed to be!
