I guess I just always think of it in these terms.....

Unless my bow's max'd out.....I don't think I'm getting the mfg's ultimate performance from my bow. Plus...it's not an issue to pull at the higher poundage.

I shoot a heavy arrow, though. So I hope this helps quieten my bow.

Would it kill deer just as well at a lower poundage? I suppose. But....I don't know why I WOULDN'T try to optimize my bow's capabilities.
