if it is family land...have them do some scouting for you............your best bet may be if no other hunters come out there at all...to leave it that way...show up when you can...take one day to scout around (keep your scent to a minimum) find where you think i good spot would be and set up a tree stand....put some digital trail cams and check them daily (again keep human scent down to a minimum).........i find going into a new spot for the first time i usually see more deer then after a few visits...
