Actually the 270 Win does have the powder capacity. It's the same case necked down. As far as heavier bullets, to get the same sectional density as the 160 grain .277 bullet you have to shoot a 220 grain .308 bullet. Why one would ever need a 220 grain bullet out of a 30-06 I have no idea.
That makes no sense. The .30 cal bullets are bigger, and have more grains, what are you talking about, did you mistype?
That makes no sense, it's like saying you can get 2780 FPS out of a 30-30 Win.
Younggun, may I suggest you goggle or do a search on sectional density of bullets, may help you make sense of what frizzellr is saying.
