Default RE: What is the most dumbest . . .

About 3 years ago I heard a turkey gobble right at sunrise just on the
other side of our property line. I eased up to within 200 yards of the line and did a fly down call. The gobbler went nuts and sounded like he was already on the ground. I called, he gobbled. I called, he ggobbled. But he wouldnt come in. We did this for an hour and so I tried to go silent for 15 minutes to see what he would do. After the 15 minutes I called again and he gobbled like crazy from the same spot.I then eased up to within 50 yards of the property line and calledagain. He responded very excitedly but he would not come in.
I sat there until 10 oclock (2 1/2 hours) but no bird. A hunter hunting the adjacent property came walking through and I told him about the bird. I told him I think there must be something between us as he acts like he wants to come but wont. The other guy smiled and said come on with him and we could try and get him together. We walked up the ridge about 50 yards and another 20 yards through a smallgrove of pecans to a HOUSE with a big wire pen on the back which
was home to the biggest, horniest, gobbler in NW Florida. DUH
