Just a few years ago I had a gobbler commin in.I could tell by the beard draggin on the ground it would be my best beard ever.I got so caught up in watchin him come in I almost forgot to shoot.When I finally shot he was only 15 steps away and I shot right where I was lookin.I blew the beard right off and the wad embedded in his chest.He weighed in at 22lbs and had 1 1/2" hooks.I picked up the pieces I could find and they were a little over 9" long and there was a 2" stubb on his chest.
