Default Great ending to a long season

This mornin I woke up cussin to myself about sleepin in two hours too late, and I was even thinking about not going. I finally kicked my self into gear got out in the field around 6:45, and on my way to my usual spot I see a group of three turkeys, so I circle around them and put a stock on them to about 50 yds to find out there all hens. So I easily backed out followed the creek back to where I planned on setting up and sneak up to the edge, look out into the field and I see atleast 6-8 hens and two strutters. We have gotten so much growth here that the plowed fields have grown knee high in weeds and the woods are the thickes I have ever seen them. I was able to sneak up through a washout, stand up to where I could see the two toms, and raise my gun. By this time my hearts pounding I was two toms 35 yds away and they have their heads down feeding. I put my bead on one toms head when he was strutting, but then he stuck his head down in the weeds just as the other poked his head up, I got on the other one and rolled him, then he gets back up as another tom is comin to kick is @22 so I let him have it again. So this was the end to my spring turkey season this year, on the very last day of the season. I have been huntin these birds hard for about a month, after I shot another real nice tom off the same land. I couldn't even get in the spot last weekend because there were some many hunters out. The last weekend of the season had about 10 times more hunters out than opening weekend. I got real lucky on both my birds, because these birds get pressured so much it's crazy. Im done with my rant, the pics are on the link at the top. He had a 10 in. beard 1 in. spurs and was good eatin. Happy Huntin!!
