I have checked equipment on the Pro ranges in Bedford the last several years. I ask how they want their equipment checked; weight or speed. The new ruling is you can have your equipment checked BOTH waysIF needed. They usually ask if I want to pick an arrow from their quiver. If they choose speed, 288 is the cut off number. This is the 280 FPS + a 3% cronograph variance. 289 =DQ. If they fail this test they can then ask for a weight check. I weigh their arrow and divide 5 into this arrow weight. This numberis the maxium weight allowed for that arrow. You can then add 2 pounds for scale variation per rule A 1 on page 5 of the new rule book. I gave an example of this in the post above. Pete
