The safety in the trigger is pulled when pressure is applied to the trigger, to fire you just keep pulling. If you don't depress the center or safety trigger then the main trigger will not move. Every shot with the Glock is like firing a revolver double action. Every pull is the same weight. It takes some getting used to if you are familiar with more conventional pistols. I like the Glocks and have owned all of the full size ones. I would prefer a slide mounted safety but they work as evident by their popularity with Police Departments. If it were my first pistol and I wanted an Auto, I would buy a Ruger. Cheap and dependable. Overall I prefer a good revolver in 357 or +P 38 Special.
