I have bought a couple of chronographs direct from the factory. They get alot of them returned. They will recondition the chronograph and sell it for half price. We have bought several from them, and they work just fine. I think we found the web site by searching "chrony".

I would also think a 500 grainer at 1350 should be deadly. And it should be accurate. I shoot a 525 grainer between 1250 and 1350. It knocks a deer off it's feet. For elk I run her up to 1600fps-but it is no fun to shoot. Tom.
