RE: Expandable broadheads
Well, I feel a need to speak up about a head shot. The problem isn't that a brain shot won't kill an animal immediately. And the problem isn't that the best shot in the world can drill a quarter every shot.
The problem is that a deer can move its head before the arrow gets there and the arrow can wind up shattering the jaw. The deer then dies a long painful death from starving. It has happened, and anybody witnessing it gets a sour view of bowhunting.
And it doesn't matter how fast the bow is, a deer can move its headjust enough to cause bad results. Besides that, a deer can decide to look up or check the wind right at the release.
That is why a head shot is not a recommended shot. I don't post to be judgmental, just to add something to think about.
