Default RE: What brand of fletching jig do you use?

It's not the jig's fault they aint staying on.Maybe try adjusting the jig so the base of the fletch sits on the shaft properly.
No kidding "try ajusting it." Thats the problem, I've wasted so much time trying to get that thing adjusted so that the vanes will lay flat on the shaft .
Here is how it goes.
1.) Clean Shafts with alcohol
2.) Adjust Jo-Jan to where I think the clamps are laying the vanes on nicely
3.) Apply Glue and Set the Vanes on
4.) Rotate the shafts two more times for the other two vanes
5.) Remove arrows and see that the vanes are still not secured in the middle
6.) Take off vanes, and scrape the glue off the shaft.
7.) Re-setup Jo-Jan with different Clamp alignment.
8.) Repeat 50 times and you still can't get it right.

I think the problem might be that I have the right helical clamps and they might just be more difficult to get in the perfect position. Its been such a pain in the ass that I don't want to go out and spend the money on the straight clamps just to possibly have the same problem. I'm just sick of this jig, wasted way too much time screwing with it.
